Frequently Asked Questions

Camp Point Clear is located on Guntersville Lake in Guntersville, Alabama. It is approximately 37 miles southeast of Huntsville.

Chartered Bus: Campers coming from the Greater New Orleans area (additional fee required) 
By car: Parents are welcome to drive to camp
 By Plane: Huntsville International Airport airport.

Campers may request  cabin-mates. We will make every attempt to honor these requests as long as the campers are in the same age group. We cannot  guarantee that all requests will be honored.

A camper's typical day is divided between water activities (which include canoeing, sailing, swimming and skiing) and land activities (tennis, arts & crafts, and gym). Three activities in the morning with three activities in the afternoon.

We have a 4:1 camper to counselor ratio.

We know our parents enjoy knowing what their children are doing at camp each day.  To keep parents informed of the day-to-day activities we send an email and post pictures daily, informing them of our activities and special events of the day

The camp RN lives on the camp grounds. The parents will be notified if it is necessary for a camper to visit a local doctor. The local hospital is 5 miles from camp.

Campers enjoy receiving letters during daily “Mail Call”.
